The Bukchon Cultural Center is a hanok (Korean style building) that promotes the history and values of the traditional Korean Bukchon Hanok Village. The building was sold to the city of Seoul and reopened on October 29, 2002 as the Bukchon Traditional Culture Center.
The hanok was once owned by the Min family. This family of influence was once in charge of finance during the end of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897).
The house is composed of a main building, outer quarters, an annex, another building, and a shrine.
The annex, known as haengrangchae since been converted into an exhibition hall.
